The 40's aren't bad...

The 30's let you know it's cold outside.

The 20's are pretty miserable...

In the teens you are just asking for trouble.

I've ridden in some very cold weather, but anymore if it's freezing or below I'll stick with a nice heater in a car or truck.

For it to be an enjoyable ride through I prefer it to be in the 50's (or higher)..

25 degrees... Had to fill the tank after installing the new tins. I could have filled a gas can, but I wanted to ride it after all that hard work. 2 miles and I couldnt feel my face...

I ride regularly in the mid teens during the two months that I'm home each winter. I try to limit the rides in these temps to less than 40 miles or so. Not saying it's fun but when you only get to ride a couple of months a year you take whatever you can get.

when I was living in the Seattle area and a hell of allot younger I would ride in temps close to zero. If you are dressed for it it's no different than getting on a snow machine in my opinion.

38 in S.E. Louisiana last winter. Man that's cold down here but, we did have 10 inches of snow where I live last Dec. The weather forcast is for snow down here tonight! Dam globle warming, I just don't what we're going to do?

28 degrees.....it was no fun. As a matter of fact it was horible. Me and a buddy got about 15 miles out....stayed in a bar for 3 hours just to defrost our bones .....then went home.

I never rode again under 40 degrees....just isnt worth the face pain.
Hands were also frozen through the gloves. (I didnt have heated grips back then)
Kinda glad I did it cause there was no forgetting about that experiance for me personally.

This winter will be a good test for how cold I can ride in and not be miserable. About 45 degrees used to be my limit But this RG with a set of hard lowers i got free is the warmest bike Ive ever had. It was 40 out the other day and i was warm as toast. Sunny but cold snap coming up here in the PNW. Guess I will find out soon

Rode to work this morning and it was 26. It does make a difference if you are dressed for the cold and mentally prepared for it.
