Whats the coldest temp youve rode in?

I ride pretty regularly in the mid 30s. If it's that or above I'll ride her to work. Below that, no thanks. I did buy a bike in February once about 40 miles away and rode it home in the mid 20s. Swore I would never do it again no matter how good a deal I was getting.

Hi Gliden,
It's about 20 miles each way and it's a combination freeway and side streets. On top I wear a Gerbings jacket liner under my leather jacket and have Gerbings T-5 gloves. I also wear a pile neck sleeve and a pile lined leather bandanna. My gloves are turned up to full, but my jacket liner is about 1/2. I have a 1/2 helmet and in this weather, i wear a balaclava to keep my ears warm. For the bottom end, wool socks, under armor long johns, jeans and lined chaps.
Hey IA, I guess I still think I'm young (more likely foolish) at 58 or maybe I just keep forgetting that I don't bounce anymore and take a longer time healing.

Last winter it was 7 degrees most of the day. Had to do a couple delivery in DC and baltimore. Four hours riding around town in the cool air of 7 degrees with the wind blowing hard. But I wear heat gear and it feels like a summer day. My feet was the only thing cold all day.

cold ride
In college (1979), I had a new XS 750 SF Yamaha. Had to ride over Christmas and it was -20, but the roads were dry. Rode 4.5 miles to girlfriends house. My chest hurt so bad I thought I was having a heart attack. Had to ride back home also.

not the coldest ive ridden, but by far the most miserable: upper 30s + hurricane. i was long-distance-dating a gal, hour and a half trip. it was cold so i bundled up, but i never checked the forecast. big mistake, ran into a freaking hurricane. severe winds, constant rain and even hit some hail for about 20 minutes. tshirt + flannel + sweatshirt + leathers (with chaps), all soaked to the core. just like someone else in this thread mentioned, after i got to her place it took me about 3 hours to get my core temp back to normal. took an hour long semi-warm bath, piled on blankets after that, and was still shivering a good 3 hours later.
never. again.
oh, add atlanta traffic to the mix in there. not fun.

29 this morning when I left the house for work. Have rode as low as 22, but it's < 20 miles to work. I don't use any heated gear and I warm up within 10 minutes of getting to work. In my Jeep I'm at work by the time the heater is cranking good so I figure why not ride?
Perfect temp I like to ride in is around 50. Can do that forever and never get cold with just normal gear on.

Jan. 1, 1969. Temperature was in the upper teens to low 20s and light snow. A friend and I rode 10-12 miles, I think just to say that we had done it. Now a days, If it gets much below 50*, I'm grounded.
