A buddy of mine rode his Road Glide from Calgary to Red Deer which is about an hour and 20 minute's. It was -5 celsius. He hold's the record for reaching Gasoline Alley HD from Calgary the latest time in the riding season. Add in windchill factor and it was probably -20 celsius.

When I was in my 20's, used to ride in the higher 30's quite a bit if the road were clean..
Now at 60, bout 48 is shut off if riding.
Sometimes it just a 1/2 hr or so in the winter just to keep her turning over every now and then...

50 degrees...livin' in SE Tx I can ride year round, so if it's below 50, I'll just wait for maybe a couple days and it will warm up. Yea, I'm spoiled. lol

Now today, there's some strange white stuff fallin' down. I don't know what to think of it, cuz it's a rare event to see this stuff fallin' from the sky in SE TX.

I'm not ridin' today....no way.

High 30s, maybe right around freezing, years ago. These days, I'm sure I've been out in the 40s, but only because I was out already.

I don't generally leave the house on the bike if it's much below 50 or so. Sorry, probably makes me a lightweight, but I loathe riding if I have to dress up like the Michelin man to stay warm. Just takes the fun out of it for me, and I ride for fun.

In the low teens back in the day, more recently, 23-24 coming home from work (about 15 miles), no chaps, only my jeans, leather jacket and two pair of gloves, my legs froze that morning, but what was I gonna do,...walk, nope not happening.
