22 plus strong winds. As of yesterday my roads now have salt on them. Even if it warms up I am done until spring. Or----until a buddy backs up with his trailer. That is the most useful way to use a trailer. Pull until the snow disappears and unload.

I think my Ultra wants to go to Daytona Bike Week.

30 degrees is the coldest i've been out, but with layered clothing, full leathers, & a bubble faceshield on my 3/4 helmet & I was snug as a bug! I can't wait to try my luck in the bitter cold...

Rode 200 miles in 15 degrees on the Chilly Chile Ride on new years day in northern New Jersey one year. It started snowing on the way home. It took a hot shower till the hot water ran out and a few hours to thaw out after that ride.

I generally do not ride when it is below freezing now that I am an old fart. Back in the 70's I would ride all winter long. After getting off work at UPS around midnight, me and a buddy would take off on the bikes and do some bar-hopping until the sun came up. Did this many times in sub-zero temps with snow and ice covered roads around Chicago. Back then, the cost of replacing parts on the bike wasn't so bad and the bones were not as brittle. Now that I am old enough to understand my mortality, I would not behave so foolishly.

Last year it was 17 in morning and suppose to warm up to 50 and clear that afternoon.. I put on everything I had, Butt, neglected that little strip btwn my helment and top of my glasses.. it got frost burn.. my toes hurt.. my fingers lost all feeling.. My eyeballs even ached because I wore glasses instead of goggles.. I was hoping to catch a red light so I could warm up.. no such luck that morning.. green all the way.. took over 3 hrs to warm up once I got to work.. I just did not do my math.. 17degrees + 50 mph wind chill= too damn cold..

37 degrees F. Dressed in blue jeans, half helmet, gloves and leather jacket. Rode 40 miles and it was zero fun, we South Texans are not used to the cold weather. Needless to say, 2 days later the fairing lowers were headed to my house. We can normally ride year round, but the older I get the higher the temperature has to be.

Heeler, Just curious. How many miles do you have to go to get to work....?
Full Face? Mask? heated gear?

Just trying to figure out how you do this....should I ever decide to embark again on a journey in the dead of winter....
