Bought a Road King 2 years ago in feb. rode it 40 miles home at night it was 14 degrees had cars passing me on the interstate honking and waving i just kept thinking to myself what a dumb SOB i was

 

Me and about 14,000 others rode today in 26 degree temps for the Chicago Toys for Tots parade.

 

31 in south Lousyana. Dats cold here. Had snowmobile suit, thick gloves, face mask, and windshield. Weren't too bad. About 35 miles to work. When younger rode without windshield or fullface helmet and only a nylon coat in about same temp and when I got to work I couldn't talk for about 15 minutes and my legs felt on fire. Wouldn't do that again.

 

20 yesterday morning at 5:30am heading into work. Bit nippy. Wouldn't change it though. Lets see... its 20 outside. Choice is to ride bike or take cage. Easy choice as long as there is no ice or salt or snow.

 

26 degrees last Christmas day. 32 degrees today with Leathers and full face helmet.

 

-14 to -19 last January in Colorado. My neighbor and I would ride into town each morning to drink coffee (about 6 miles one way). We would hit a 100 mph just for fun and because we could. It was interesting that his carbed Heritage Classic would take for ever to warm up while my injected Superglide was ready to go in 5 mins or so. They were hard to start but always started. It would be like -2 in my cabin each morning untill I got the heat going but I slept warm. Being from Texas I find the cold a novelty, but I take the F250 going into Alamosa (50 miles) to buy food and beer. Staying warm and in the 30's in Texas this winter.

it's supposed to hit -15 tomorrow but sunny....I'll be out on the bike

 

Thermometer outside says 26, and there's snow on the ground.

Roads are clear, I'm riding.

 

Rode Saturday in the snow flurries at 28 degree's. If you're dressed for it it's not so bad.

 

Other than a surprising amount of black ice on the DC Beltway, not a bad trip in at all.
