Bike wouldn't start this morning :(
#22
Amsoil 20/50.
I think I may fouled my plugs. I gave the throttle a couple of twists this morning....
Old School Indy shop owner/bike builder just told me how he sometimes pulls plugs out and uses a lighter to heat them up when it gets really cold.
Anybody ever hear of that??

ALSO:
IF it's FLOODED, not fouled, ALTHO, flooding it, will foul them THINK, wet = grounded.
Pull the plug, hold a match down into the plug hole, it'll give a li'l woosh or poof, sound. This evaporates all the gas in the cylinder. We used to have to do that multiple times a day, with the old snowmobiles. They'd flood out, easily. If it doesn't go whoosh, BUT you know it is flooded to the max, turn it over, while holding the match over the plug hole, this will 'suck' the flame, down into the cylinder.
Or, you can pull the plugs, dry 'em, and clean 'em, then leave them out for a while, so the cylinders will "air dry". Roll it over occassionally, to draw 'fresh' air thru the plug hole. I just use the blow gun on the air hose, if I am at the grudge.
Not sure, by the info, if it's turning over, and not firing, or not turning over, as in , starter is spinning, disengaged. IF that is the scenario, solenoid, or starter drive.
Another prob, when they get cold, is the starter drive will stick, ENGAGED, because the oil on the shaft, is THICK and keeps the drive from disengaging.
IF this is happens, remove starter drive, clean with brake cleaner, lube it with a bit o' clean oil, reinstall.
Try kicking one over, in COOL weather, you'll have a new appreciation, for what your starter is subjected to. Peshally if you have 85/140w in the tranny, and 60w in the earl tank. You're in for an azz kickin' event, BESIDES the scoot kickin' event !!!!!! THEN, flood it.

UPDATE:
It's the stator
Had the tender on it all night(this is a week old/new battery, mind you). Didn't get a green light in the morning, had to jump it this morning. Figured running around half the day would charge it back up sufficiently.
15 miles to HD where I met a buddy. Warmed up for a good 30 mins, fired back up just fine. Went about 30 miles and stopped at a gas station. Killed engine, then started back up 2 mins later, and nothing but clickin'.
Luckily, all of 15 seconds go by after I realize I'm in trouble(out in what seemed the middle of nowhere), when a fella pulls up at the pump 5 feet away. Asked him if he had jump cables, he was more than willing to help.
Jumped it, drove straight back to dealer and had them swap battery for a NEW new one!
Tech tested and found the stator was completely grounded. No charge to the battery whatsoever when running.
LUCKILY(to my good fortune), they were running a parts and service special through 12/15. Sitting down? $22/hour and 20% all installed parts(!!!!!!!). Needless to say, I can't turn a wrench. Called/woke up my wife to shimmy her butt on down to scoop me up. Should be done by end of next week at a total cost of about $210 that includes 3 hours and parts.
Welp......problem solved(hopefully).
Appreciate everyone's awesome feedback/advice.
Sorry for the novel!
