Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I taught MSF for six years in Minnesota, and though dated, the Hurt Report is still relevant.

One of the biggest changes: "Back then," most motorcycle crashes were the fault of a left turning car driver. Today, and for the past few years, in Minnesota, more than 50% of fatalities involving a lone motorcycle rider.

All the upper age yuppies buying their first bike and killing themselves...

Having been a motorcyclist for over 40 years I remember his reports.

I have heard of the the Hurt Report, but never knew how it came about, thanks for the history lesson.
