Looks like they will be staying in York

Good deal for York if HD decides to stay. I was out there about 2 weeks ago for business and actually our facility is directly across the street from their storage warehouse in Manchester. The guys working at the facility said that the HD storage facility used to be buzzing on 2 shifts, however now it is a 1 shift operation and there wasn't a lot of activity that I could see.
Our company has been flooded with applications from ex HD employees, but they are paid so well that they initially turn their noses up at what we offer. From the looks of things there is more downsizing to come...guess we will see.

Given all things this could be considered a Win-Win. The workers of York took a big step to keep the plant operating in York for years to come.

A bit of irony from the article:
"Before the vote this morning, a steady flow of Harley-Davidson employees filed into the Toyota [emphasis mine] Arena. Some lingered outside."
