Not saying it was a wrong sentence but it was unusually harsh! probably get less on appeal. jmho

18 not enough, should be 18 and deportation. I ride Miami most every day, it is the Darwinian filter for the US, she was north of the Broward border, ahe is the Darwinian candidate not these two innocent guys. I bet she was driving a German car and on the phone or doing make up, see it every day here in So Fla.

Not to me, but the question is, did it make a difference to the judge?
There are many similar "accidents" in the state involving death where the defendant comes away with a much lighter sentence.

If it were up to me, I'd throw away the key.

 

I also don't think Faast Ed's family would be happy seeing him get 18 1/2 years for a traffic fukkup. 5 or 6 years would be ample time to suffer and evaluate the horror of it all.

Now if someone broke into Faast Ed's home and murdered him intentionally, different story.

So easy to lay it on others, but if it were your sister or mother driving that car,.... You'd want her to come home eventually.
18 1/2 years is equivalent to killing her (with intent this time).
That's insane.

 

I really doubt she will do anywhere near 18 yrs, but good on the judge for giving it.
