My Headphones inside Helmet Mod - Results
Just wanted to share my results. After being tired of the ear bud issues and reading a few threads, I purchased theses this past wknd to use for my mod. They looked like perfect candidates.
removed one small piece that wraps over you ear to secure them, put some velcro on the back and stuck em right inside my full face helmet. Was not impressed, they felt okay, I could feel the against my ear, but nothing too uncomfortable. The most disappointing part is they were not loud at all. Versus an ear bud, a headphone speaker inside my helmet just doesn't compare.
So now its $10 down the drain and a continued search for the perfect ear bud.

I put the same ones in my ear pads on my half helmet they work pretty good but I think they have to press against the ear a little snug to hear good.Try putting something behind them to get them to stick out further. Good luck.

Next time you are at a bike show, have the custom ones made, they cost more, but they end up flush with your ear so nothing sticks out, they greatly reduce wind noise, even without a helmet, and they sound great. Worth the investment if you really want to have tunes while riding.

I don't understand any of this. I want to see the road, stop and look at anything I want, Have a blue tooth ear bud but don't use it. Not answering the cell phone while riding, It all can wait. We are too tuned in. Its good to tune out at least one day a week. Hard to listen to music while driving a car, can't imagine doing in on bike. I'm concentrating on the road, my escape routes and keeping the circle of distance around my bike.

Although 99% of the time I use foam ear plugs to cut wind noise, the few times I have my MP3 plugged in I use the 'in the ear' buds by Sony. They come with 3 different sizes of rubber end pieces for a more custom fit. They block noise and deliver excellent sound quality. I wear a FF helmet and and do not use a windshield.
The buds were a gift, but I think they run about $40.00 or so.

You should watch your mirrors at a red light until at least one or two cars have stopped behind you. What if the moron behind you never hit his brakes and never made a screeching sound?

2nd that, Shure are great, costly, but great sound. I use the with a half helmet, and a V%H Sideshots, work's with or without a windshield.
