More miles than you can expect from yourself.

If you can get a 100k with no problems HD service departments would go out of business. You might get a 100k before a rebuild is in order but you will have some issues along the way

Completely different animal...both have pros and cons...the one big difference is that Harley Davidson is a life style driven by slick marketing. You just have to look at all the chit you can buy branded HD

Wadda you got for a Hawg??? the older evo's need to warm up before you pour the throttle to them because the barrels actually float until they expand from heat. This is one of the reasons that they start to leak oil at the bottom.
3 different types of oil in these bikes. Dont pour in no name wal-mart oil if you want it to last.
If it has a drive belt, check for proper adjustment, tension as well as proper tracking. Stuff will come loose over time so good check overs are vital!

I hope you guys are wrong. I could not care less about the Harley lifestyle. I do like the Harley feel and hope that i come close to metric quality. I guess we will see.

I did not buy mine to be old school or to wrench on a regular basis. I bought it because it fit my body and becaus it drove well.

My fingers are crossed for 100k+ with no major problems.....

but to each his own.

Now thats a loaded question...
How do U do Ur maintenance (serviced) at reg times?
How do U ride, Grandpa, normal, Hot rod the chit of it??
Check oil levels often?
loan it out or leave her outside all the time.?
Make changes not knowing what Ur doing.?

Ive read TC's have lasted anywhere from 3k to over 250k
I fully expect mine to go closer to 150k before even doing a top end, then after that another 100k or more.... if I live that long..

here a little reading I found on this subject..
