Default What to do at Red Lights that NEVER change?

I notmally don't pose questions like this on here, because I know how I handle this, but I am curious how others do and if there's anything I can do to not run a red light and risk a ticket from some hidden John Q. Law.

There's a red light near my workplace that, for some reason, my Superglide won't trip and if there are no cars in line with me, that light just doesn't change... So I wait until it's safe to go and I go...

I'm wondering what y'all do? I HATE getting tickets.

In North Carolina motorcycles can legally run red lights if you sit through light cycles. Check your laws as I wouldn't be surprised if your state is similar.
