What to do at Red Lights that NEVER change?

I never thought about it, but it makes sense to be illegal.
Personally I wouldn't get off the bike to do it anyway. Not worth the effort to me.

My wife took the Rider's Edge course a few weeks ago. Her instructor is a retired KC motorcycle police officer. He says this generally works, shutting off the bike and re-starting it. The process of starting the bike creates some sort of electromagnetic wave or something that the sensors pick up. I've never tried it yet. I'm more prone to running the light. That always works.

I notmally don't pose questions like this on here, because I know how I handle this, but I am curious how others do and if there's anything I can do to not run a red light and risk a ticket from some hidden John Q. Law.
There's a red light near my workplace that, for some reason, my Superglide won't trip and if there are no cars in line with me, that light just doesn't change... So I wait until it's safe to go and I go...
I'm wondering what y'all do? I HATE getting tickets.

Cant you buy those strips that go on the bottom of your bike that will trip the light? I cant remember what they are called? I am not sure I would want to shut my bike off. What if you need to move quickly?
