What to do at Red Lights that NEVER change?

You don't need magnets. If you can see the wire in the ground, don't put your bike in the center of the box, put it directly over the wire on the right or left side, with your front wheel just past the end. This will trip the light almost every time. On the rare occasion it doesn't, run the light.
Yep, I also try to grab a little extra front brake (depending on road conditions )at the last to put my frame lower, I don't know if it helps, but what the hey.
the wire's that are buried under the intersection are basically a magnetic coil, by passing a big enough piece of ferrous metal over it you induce a small current that tells the controller to do its job.
the smaller the piece of metal the closer it need to be.
there is a light I have to go through ever day when I come home, on my roadking I never had a problem triggering it, now with the crossbone, if I don't set up correctly I end up running it.

My wife took the Rider's Edge course a few weeks ago. Her instructor is a retired KC motorcycle police officer. He says this generally works, shutting off the bike and re-starting it. The process of starting the bike creates some sort of electromagnetic wave or something that the sensors pick up. I've never tried it yet. I'm more prone to running the light. That always works.

Couger and I are both from Baltimore and I can tell you that I NEVER assume that traffic is going to stop for their red. Green light? Pass thru the intersection only AFTER scanning left and right!
