Daytona bike week, where to stay?
Never been to bike week, would be first time. I have time off in the winter and think on going to FL. Where can you stay, I have heard to look outlying from Daytona, would this be better, looking for camp grounds.

Stayed here 2 years ago & would recomend them. Be aware though during bike week you will be CRAMMED into your space with no room to spare.
Clean baths & hot showers.
Have since switched to a hotel.

thundergulch-campground.com I think? It's north of Daytona in Bunnell FL. Close to White Eagle, 10 miles from Destination Daytona and Iron Horse. Gives you a chance to ride a bit.

Been staying at the Daytona Beach Resort in S. Daytona last couple of years. This year (for 2010 trip) we got our best rate of 114.00 per night plus tax for each room as a returning customer they said. Each room has 2 double bed's so 2 guys can split the 114.00 rate. This is a pretty nice place though, you can also get a room at Microtel for 89.00 plus tax per room. Point is rates are negotiable also. Never been there in 6 six years & saw all the rooms sold out either. Thats when you get your best rate when you just show up if your not picky.

I have been camping at the Cabbage Patch for $10 a night. There is something always going on. The bands are great as are the ladies. Showers are $10 and usually revert back to my military training at do the canteen bath thing. Security is great and no one messes with your stuff. 5 years I stayed in hotels outside of Daytona. You miss a lot of the action being off site. If the weather gets too bad just find a hotel. I don't pack shirts and usually buy event shirts while there. Great people camp there and I always have a real good time. No reservations needed and I have never seen them full.

Close to everything. Only bad was no on site parking if your coming with a trailer. Just had to pay for that & leave the trailer up the street.
