Good choice! Can't go wrong with a softail. I've owned nothing but.

Nick,

Welcome to HDForum.

Glad you had a good time. I was there also helping with the demo's being with the Caliente H.O.G. chapter.

Did the last Demo day there at the dealer when I had my Street Bob. This was the Demo day where it was the dealer doing the rides and not HD so you could pick any bike on the floor for a demo. Rode the Street Glide then the Road King and for me the Street Glide won hands down.

Good luck with your purchase and we hope to see your there again someday.

Jim

demo days where good, needed more bikes and longer day..
I didn't get to the dealer till noon and the line was looooong. I did get to ride one..
waited 2 1/2 hr just to get that one...
No way was there enough time to ride more than two unless I got there at starting time and signed up before the rush..

I'm convinced the FL SofTails (Fat Boy, Heritage, Deluxe) are the best bikes Harley has ever built. The 200 rear tire on the Fat Bot makes it even cooler. Solid mounted counter-balanced engine, strong frame with deep seating position, and good suspension make for a great ride. Plus, they are very modular. Add saddlebags and windshiled for touring, strip it down for cruising in style. Awesome bikes, you will love a Fat Boy Low.
