Whoop Tee *** Do! I was an English Professor and always looked for content other than grammer. Must be different in the ghettos of Southern Chicago. If I read a letter of thanks, I did not check for errors. KMA
If one knows spelling and grammar, as an English Professor might, you need not check. The errors are obvious. I'm not talking about minor nuance in "proper" English, but rather glaring errors in basic communication. Not at all uncommon in the biker community. I read biker rags where some of the stuff looks like it was written by a second grader who flunked more than a few times. I am amazed at how someone can make it through twelve years of school and never really learn to read or write at any reasonable level. Even more amazing is the number of people I know with advanced degrees who struggle with spelling and grammar.
In any event, and back on topic, if one is going to take the time to write a letter which is to be published, it would seem prudent to run it through a spell checker, at the very least. Better still to have someone read it for clarity and content.
A 1% club is considerd to be an outlaw biker gang by law enforcement, and is called 1% because they say only 1% of bikers are outlaws, as I have read it before.
Ive known guys who said they were in outlaw gangs and they were very nice folks, unless you crossed them wrong!

As I understand it, to be technically accurate, and Outlaw MC is any club not sanctioned by the AMA. An "Outlaw" club doesn't automatically equate with being a 1% club, nor does it indicate anything nefarious about the activities of the club or its members.
