Jason, very nice!! Can you tell me more about the mounting? Are you using the system shown in the last link with the DSLR? That's a pretty complicated mount!! Also, the housing that the GoPro in in, does it provide some isolation?

I'm going to try my ram mount on the rear crash bars just to see how much different from the handlebar location the vibration is. Maybe that's the key.

Of course I'm going to use a Canon SD880 and not a GoPro. I'm might just have to give a GoPro a shot!

For the videos, I used the mounts that the camera came with. Nothing out of the ordinary.

 

Just thought I would mention that after much testing I find the the more solid the mount the better it is, anything on the handlebars vibrates unless its between the mounts, I fitted my GoproHD to the swinging arm (for rear shots) and under the triple trees. see video below, it works really well even in 1080p 30fps although 720 60fps is a bit better, less rolling shutter.
