I also have the J&S jack. I use it for my Softail with no issues at all. Excellent investment. Very solid design. Can't go wrong!

Another vote for the J&S jack. Great jack, have used it on a RKC, softails, Ultras and shovels. I needed to make a shim for use with the softail frame.

The J&S people are great to work with. Had a bottle jack start leaking, sent them an email explaining the problem. Had a new one from them in a couple of days. No questions asked. Can't beat that kind of service.

Really nice jack and as others have said, bike is solid on it when moved around on it in the garage.

I have the J&S. The only complaint I have with it is that it's an adaptation of a std. bottle jack and offers little guidance to the the foot pump when operating it. Other than that I have no complaints. The bike is rock solid on the jack. They have the oil drain deflector which works great. The main 2 advantages that I can see with the PB is the higher lift height and the dolly stand to plop it on if you have 2 bikes or are into secure storage.

J & S. Great jack. Don't know about the Pitbull other than reading it is just as good if not better than the J & S because of more lift height and a handle to pull it around.

A non issue imo. The foot pedal doesn't operate in a fixed arc over the pivot point. It can move from side to side (if you move your foot side to side).

I'm happy with my J&S but I have some tips for improvement.

1. For the same price they should be able to make it out of aluminum. I believe it weighs over 70lbs.
2. Thumb screws on the release and wheel locks
3. Drop it's range 1/2-3/4". Doesn't go under our softails w/o lifting the leaning side up a bit.

Love my J&S jack and have had zero problems with it. Can jack it up pretty high and doen't need tie down staps for it.

I have a Pitbull with the turntable option. I'm very happy with this lift. The turntable feature is handy when working on the right side of the bike, simply rotate 180 deg. and this get's the "workings" of the lift out of the way. This is an extremely strong and stable jack.

I'd give the customer service a nod also. The bottle jack on my lift had developed a leak. I saw the crew at a show, explained my issue, and walked home with a new jack.

The only downfall of the pitbull is the footprint. The weight doesn't bother me to much, but it needs a good place to hide in the garage.
