Does the XL fit you?If not you need a long-
I'm 6-2,190 and I tried a XL HD Jacket this week that fit perfect-
Not all are cut the same though-

I ended up buying a Vanson jacket. It fits great and it has adjustments so that the waist/ lower stomach area can be as loose or tight as you want. Fits a fleece under it no problem, but it hangs out the bottom. If I wore my jacket for anything other than riding I would care, but when I'm on the road all I really care about is keeping warm. Like someone said before, you want it to be on the shorter side so it doesn't bunch up while you're on your bike, so I guess you'd have to find a specific sweatshirt to go with the jacket. I'd order a jacket or two from a place that takes returns at no "restocking fee" and keep the one you like.

The problem is not all jacket types are cut the same. A XL in one fits like a large in another. You gotta test fit if possible. To expensive to get one that does not fit.

harley clothing is all cut very different. I have tried on a bunch of their stuff and a size in one thing is not the same as the same size in another item. Now I have a big problem a really big problem actually in the fact that I am 6'5" 375lbs have a 64" chest and a 50" waist I forget what my sleeve length is but I stopped by a local shop that does leather coats and I remember him telling me that I would never find a production made coat with sleeves that fit me good. He told me I could get a guy he uses in Pakistan to make me a coat to fit would cost about $700. Don't know as though I am willing to drop that kind of money on a coat.

I went to Langlitz and had it custom measured. Well worth the money. Also you might consider using the wind proof microfabric materials in place of a sweatshirt. Not as bulky but very fuctional.

I've been wearing an H-D Basic Skins jacket for almost 10 years now...still in great shape, and except for one small metal logo button over a pocket, it just looks like a good ole leather jacket...

From all the posts here, I'm glad I'm just a medium size...but still, I'd never buy leather without trying it on first...

A good online retailer will let you exchange for a different size. I purchased a jacket about a year and a half ago from newenough.com and sent it back twice, got a size I liked on the third. newenough.com also has "We Now Offer Free Return Shipping on Exchanges!" I'm not affiliated with them just relaying my experience.

Edit: They also have tall sizes.
