Default lubing cables

Hi, I am going to be lubing throttle/idle, and clutch cables and I have braided lines that are clear coated covered and wondering what is the best lube to use. I have seen post on here that say certain lubes discolors braided lines is this true or what should I use. THANKS in advance for any advice.

I lube my throttle and idle cables with "6 in 1" lube from Bel Ray. I don't know if it would discolor braided lines or not. I think if you are reasonably careful and don't make a mess it shouldn't be a problem.

I would rather have lubed cables than not!
