Default Helmet pin striping in DFW

Hey. Do any of you guys know of any pin striping guys in DFW area, preferably north side like Plano or Frisco area? I want something like in these pics done to my Fulmer. Also, what should I expect to pay for something like this? I think it belongs to someone on this site if I remember correctly.

If ya go to a site called Pinhead Lounge (pinheadlounge.com) you may find someone in yer area on there. As for how much you might expect to pay... depends on who ya go to of course but I'd say $75 - $125

Without the Silver leaf, I charge $75.00, add $20.00 for the leaf. The helmet looks great, but that Panhead with mouse trap clutch is awesome!!! I'd like to see more pics of it!

Good to know. One thing I'm wondering about is clear coat. Given that the helmet has a clear coat and the pin striping will be on top of it without it’s own clear coat, how would it hold up? You know, I see these guys getting the same on their bikes and shows and such and I’ve always wondered how it holds up with no clear coat.

If the surface is prepped correctly, it holds up extremely well. At least as well as the original paint underneath it. I use 1 Shot striping enamel. There are cars that were striped with 1 shot in the fifties that still look good. Gold leaf and silver leaf are clear coated with a urethane, I do reccommend that it be touched up every couple of years. You normally do not see stripers doing leaf work at shows because the sizing has to set up for an hour before you lay the leaf down. Then you apply the leaf, machine turn it, and go over it with urethane which takes a couple of hours to dry. Shows and ralleys are about turning out work very quickly and getting the next customer in.
On a side note that helmet looks like a Biltwell. The new Megaflake Biltwells are awesome!

Man that helmet is a Fulmer V2. I own one also. To the OP do yourself a favor and contact Shawn at...(618)303-6007 http://www.imperialhouse71.com/CUSTOM_ARTWORK.php

Thats his work above(without the kitty sticker), i do believe i see his signature next to the DOT sticker..ask him.

He's one of the best around. He even has all different kinds of helmet available also. On his site he did the gold/silver leaf flames with gloss black pinstripping on a flat black Biltwell helmet for me. Pics are on his site and under my picture profile(excuse the DOT sticker i had to put on..DAMMIT!). This guy is even listed all over the Biltwell site, He's truely an artist...If you want a helmet done right give him a ring. He also answers every question you may have. Cool dude.

Check out Tex at TexEfx in Sanger. GREAT guy. He did my fairing and helmets. http://www.texefx.com/

I was referred to him by Dan with Klockwerks when I was in Sturgis this year.
Don't let his website/work intimidate you...he's definitely a major player as far as painting goes, but he's as down to earth and reasonably priced as anyone & didn't have the slightest hesitation to do my "little" job.

Good luck!
