uncontrolled reving of engine
Hi I'm Tom Popow of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
I have a 97 Ultra with under 15,000 miles. The motor will rev to 4,000 RPM for no apparent reason. The local Harley dealer has had the bike for 3 weeks. He has installed an ECM upgrade. His diagnostic equipment will not read any engine codes on my bike. He claims Harley Davidson won't help him solve the problem. It appears to be a manufacture defect and is a serious safety issue. If any one has had this problem please advise how to solve this problem. Any other advise is welcome too.
Thanks,
Tom

Right now, not later, consult with an attorney who is familiar with the lemon laws in your state and document EVERYTHING in writing -- dates, time, and who you were dealing with. Depending on where you live, a new bike may be in your future. Good luck!

The man said he had a 97 ultra, as in 1997!! If he finds a lawyer that's able to get him a brand new Harley, give me his name!
I've got a '97 F150 I'd like to trade even for a brand new one!

Sportyreb is right (good catch!) I focused on mileage rather than the age of the bike. That's what I get for posting when I'm dog-tired). [:@] Sorry about that. LOL
