Yeah, I know... middle of summer.. perfect time for this question!

Just curious as to who wears what, and what brand. I am certain I know which one I want, and can't quite make it to Xmas.. but wanted some other opinions before I place my order. I want good, quality stuff.

 

I don't own a leather jacket, but do have a Harley mesh jacket with a removable liner that I got for a recent milestone birthday. It is of course made in China, but is actually pretty well made and very comfortable in almost all kinds of hot and cold weather. I've seen some real horror posts about the quality of the MoCo leathers, I guess there are others more painstakingly made here in the US for less money.

 

In the winter, I wear a Harley-Davidson Nevada Jacket ... it's very stylish (IMHO) and does the job. When it's not so cool, I wear a H-D mesh jacket ... when it's downright HOT, I wear my cool vest!

 

I suppose I should clarify. I need a cold weather leather, with removeable-liner for cool temps.

 

in the summer I don't wear a jacket as here is hot as hell...

in the winter I use HD Race jacket which in my opinion is very comfortable and does its job very well

 

I wear the HD Nevada jacket. Great jacket, many pockets, vents and features. Removable liner, warm in the cold weather and cool in all but the hottest (over 100) temps.

 

In cold weather I have a HD Force leather jacket...in freezing weather I use a First Gear Kilimanjaro jacket with a zip in liner...in hot weather nada...I ride around butt naked.

I still have my Schott leather bike jacket from 30 years ago. It's been in mothballs during my 17 year hiatus from riding. Still in great shape! I just ordered a Joe Rocket mesh jacket for the warm weather. The old Schott will roast you in any temp over 75 degrees.
