it dont take a million dollar study, or a rocket scientist to figure it out.

1 cell phone use-Distracted driving, Texting while driving.
2 increase in number of bikes sold, and on the road
3 lack of classification/training, and drinking & motorcycling.
4. stunt riders known as those effen kids on rockets,
5. FUEL COST! Gas gets up to 4 bucks, some of us have to ride to get to work.

To much **** in cars now to distract the mindless. GPS, Phone, MP3 player.

One way of helping with motorcycle and car crashes. There should be four or five public service announcements a day, everyday through the riding season on the TV and Radio stations, too remind people that there are motorcycles on the road. The announcements should be done around the news and weather reports. People watch or listen too the news or weather a couple times a day. It won't stop all the crashes, but it will help to make people more aware that we are on the road..

I agree with most of what's been said, but don't leave out the increase in senior citizens. The first baby boomers are getting up in years and there are some that are clueless about bikes and riders.

Don't forget the # of cars that are on the road now compared to 1981. Add that to the # of motorcycles that are now on the road. Add that to the # of cell phones, loud stereos, DVD players, Playstations and all the other stuff in cars since 1982. It doesn't take a guvmnt study see the poop rolling downhill!

Exactly.

Hopefully they notice a trend of Cages striking the motorcycle. Then again if they notice that and say that drivers have a hard time seeing us they may require us to wear red jumpsuits with yellow reflective tape on them. $hit I just gave them an idea.

To us it is common sense, to the "experts" it will be no helmet and lack of skill or the motorcycle itself. I agree with almost everyting that has been stated as it is a no brainer to us. It's just to bad that there is no room for common sense in washington or in the "expert ananlysis".

Maybe they should look to California for some answers. Motorcycle fatalities are down 25% so far this year.
