was just wondering how other bikers carry registration/insurance info.
hoping to find some creative ideas.
currently i carry mine in a small detachable leather bag I made. nd am thinking able getting a license plate box/storage compartment

 

I keep mine in a little leather zipped pouch that was a promo item from a Berlin (Germany) HD dealer. It's home is in an inside pocket in my riding jacket.

 

I carry it in my wallet, that way if the guy that steals my bike gets stopped at least he won't have the reg. and probably won't know my name so he can tell the cop who he "borrowed" the bike from.

Good idea dc1450. I've always carried it in a little pouch in my saddle bags along with proof of insurance, HOG membership, road service, etc, etc. I'll have to re-think my priorities.

 

I keep mine in my wallet also. Since I am the ONLY rider I can't see keeping it anywhere else.

 

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for all of the different suggestions. My question is where do you keep your raingear and stuff if you don't have saddlebags?

 

This thread went around a few weeks ago and one post mentioned having the registration and insurance cards laminated and tucked under the main electrical panel cover on the left side of the guy's Dyna. That's a good thought, would keep you from forgetting them if you lose your wallet and it is very hard to find if you have your bike stolen. Personally, I keep mine in my wallet, but the laminated copy caught my eye as something different. On my old Honda, it was nice to have a storage spot under a lockable seat, but that was a long time ago.

 

I use a thing called - the tube it looks like it's part of the bike and not very high priced

 

I've seen that tube on a couple of bikes... Looks like a custom overflow for a car, right? Are they water tight?

I keep my stuff in a zip lock bag that usually is in the inside pocket of my jacket. If I am not wearing a jacket it goes in my back pocket.

Thinking about it... It would be cool to have something that you could use in connection with your helmet... I ALWAYS have one of those.
