Being seen by the other guy!

Well the Harley shop started to due the repairs last week, on my '09 Heritage from the wreck on 7-25-09. Close to $7000.00 worth of damage was done to the bike. I had them put a headlight modulator in and a taillight and turn signal modulator also. After what happened, I'm going to try to make myself and the bike to be more visible. Hopefully with the headlight flashing during the day will help me to be seen, so some S. O. B. won't pull out in front of me again.

Being seen requires the the other drivers head and eyes looking at what needs to be seen. Not being seen is usually the result of the other driver looking right while pulling left, lookin in the mirror, at the cell phone, radio, or anywhere other then where they should be looking. Flashin lights and even sirens don't help with these people.....trust me.

Va. State Trooper told me, he didn't even look to see if the was any traffic coming. So what do you do???
Put the bike up and buy F**KING battle tank, and the next person that pulls out in front of you, flatin' their a$$!!!

You know what people are looking for is something that is a threat to them, that is if you are in a car, something bigger than a car. So if you are less than a certain relative size, then you aren't seen. Besides the complete idots that are out there, it probably has more to do with human nature than anything.

I think it's a case of we have to watch for them, and never think they're going to stop at the stop sign or not turn left in front of you. Just be ready to brake or do an evasive maneuver. They just don't think about us for the most part.

Wear some color, mon! Black, black, black, black........ White helmet. Jacket with some color. No guaruntees. Never thought about it until I looked at a pack of riders and the only one I saw (or noticed) was a guy with a white helmet. And I look for bikes! Kind of got me thinking..... Still no guraruntees.
