if that worried about it, you can buy a fule gauge that mounts on the front brake reservoir. dont know how good they work but they look good... ( its in the harley catalog)

Amount of fuel in tank X's MPG = Miles ridden........

keep tab on speedometer.

It really easy once U start doing it.....

Secret is to fill tank before the U reach the (Miles ridden) formulas answer...

A new 883 with peanut tank can easily run out at 90 miles (with the reserve remaining). The gas mileage of a new bike can be much worse. And, it is not too swift to run out of gas in a tight situation. Leave the putt-putt and switch to reserve to those who ride 30 miles before they meet the first traffic and love any kind of excitement to break the monotony. Just fill up at 80 miles and life is sweet.
