Harley Inverted Front Forks
Hey guys what the general thought on the Harley inverted front forks for performance and cost compared to the stock fx forks with a spring kit. This will be for aggressive riding, about 70% backroads and 30% interstate.
Let your opinions rip.

Don't know what the cost of installing new inverted forks would be......
But you could just install Progressive springs and Ricor Intiminators. The combination of those two should make a world of difference. A Harley isn't really a high-performance bike--let's be honest. Even with the best suspension money could buy, you still have the issue of frame geometry and clearance angles.
That said, you could firm it up quite a bit for fun cruising in the twisties.
Don't forget to match the rear suspension to the front.

For the most part that is what Im wanting to do is have a little more fun in the twisties. I have had alot of "front end walking" in the past. I am switching to a 21x3.5 wheel and 120/70-21 front tire hoping that will help alot too.

Here's an article comparing both types from Hot Bike. http://www.hotbikeweb.com/tech/0205h...nce/index.html

FWIW, I believe the H-D inverted front end to be of good quality (and made by Marzocchi from memory) and is therefore reasonably priced. more expensive than the Chinese front ends (Ultima) flooding the market, but less expensive than a similar Storz, American Suspension, etc. I am not bagging out the Ultima's, but ultimately it depends on what type of riding you do, how many miles you do, etc.
