Default Trickle Chargers: Which one?

Allright, so maybe I ain't using this "Search Thread" button correctly, but... I'm looking at trickle chargers online & they go for anywhere from $15 - $53, .5 amps - 1.25 amps. Which one do all you winter storing peeps use?

I use a harbor freight model for my lawn mowers but I use this for the bike:

They also have the less expensive Jr. model. Ordered from EP several times. The item has always been on my doorstep w/i two days.

Sears.....or anyone that not only trickles but also shuts off when the charge has reached a full charge and turns back on automatically when it needs to.

Maybe they all do that....but if one don't, dont buy it....

I have been using a couple of Schumachers chargers/maintainers. They weren't too expensive. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find extra pigtails.

Think I'm going to go with Battery Tender brand, easy to get extensions and extra pigtails.

I'm thinking of getting Bikemaster's, Chargemaster 365TD it checks the batteries "health" then determines which of the 7 charge modes it should use.

I'm still researching though, haven't made up my mind

Use the Battery Tender for my bikes. The Plus model does 1.5 amps and the Jr does .75 amps which is plenty. Five year warranty, highly talked of.

The tenders with two seperate leads are good.....one goes directly on the battery terminal and the connection is slid down by the frame and hid when not in use.....and the second set of leads can be use for something else.....
I use one tender for the Ultra and the wife's scooter....i just switch plugs every couple weeks......

Personally I just use a standard trickle charger and monitor it myself. I'm around enough to check it. Little bit leary of these set and forget things. Quality of electronic components is worse than its ever been. I'm out looking at my bike practically every nite deciding what I want do to it next anyway.
