Default Stock seat issues - I don't like sliding backwards with acceleration

I slide on the stock seat of my 07 Sportster whenever I accelerate quickly. Am I correct in guessing that a solo seat with more of a bucket-shape will suppress this?

Recommendations?

I have the same problem on my 08. The custom seats that are out there seem to be a little more "dished" and have more support on the backside. It looks like that might keep you nestled in a bit better.

I just bought a Drag Specialties custom seat and when I get it and put it on I will post here on how it works.

Or.....try that spray on glue.

I installed a Mustang Vintage Solo last week and it stopped me from sliding back on my sporty.

When I had a Sportster the seat was the first thing I replaced.

I always found that sliding back and forth while gunning it was somehow...strangely...STIM-u-lay-ting.

(Ahhh, yes! Right there! Right there! Vroom!)

I like the Sundowner seat Harley makes. Bucket design, very comfy, keeps you in place on acceleration, at least in my case, and I'm 6' tall @ 195 lbs.
