Another stripped Torx bolt

RE: Another stripped Torx bolt
Hey Ricky, I see your problem, however I don't exactly understand the part "pinch screw?" The typical removal options have already been suggested. If I could see exactly what you're up against, I may possibly come up with a solution, to help. If you're still stumped with it, be patient we'll figure it out. Besides that, if there's anything you need to complete your task, let me know, I'm willing to ship you whatever you don't have to use.

use some penetrating oil. oddly enough the best off the shelf stuff i've come across is from ace (it's the place) yello & white spray can. works quick. i would stay away from propane, it'll bubble the clear off the lower tree. heat shrink gun worked around th einside of the tree where the bolt is actually threaded into might help. that and using one of those impact units.
if that fails try using an allen wrench. metric or standard which ever one fits the tightest while using a hammer to tap bottom it in the torx.
one thing i have found is you need to seat the torx bit into the hardware with a tap of your hammer. they never seem to grab real well.
another reason to change out to allen (socket) head bolts

I guess it just wasn't ready to come out yesterday. I got up this morning and sprayed some more WD40 on it (just in case what I had used yesterday wasn't enough), and went in and had some breakfast to let it sit. Then after breakfast I went out and pounded the T50 Torx into it (it usually take the T45) and after a couple really good pounds, I wrenched on it and it slipped right out.
So, the turn signal relocation's complete. Though, now looking at it, I realize I should have gotten some new turn signals just so I wouldn't have the nice look of covered spliced wires showing. Anyway, thanks for the help guys.

Hadn't thought about stuffing the next size up in there with a hammer.
Thanks.
