why wear chaps?

If it is cold enough, I'll wear a snow mobile suit. Now thats a sight. Chaps are warm, comfortable, will protect you from road rash, pack easily, and because I can.
Never tried the leather pants but they kind of remind me of the worst period of history in our life...DISCO.

Well now, what do chaps remind you of???

OH NO, I just joined this forum. Now I find out about the fingerless gloves and the chaps. I wish someone would have told me 30 years ago, geez. But wait, I have a trailer that never saw a bike on it, am I still safe ?

My wife looks hot in chaps and jeans or just chaps or just jeans. She likes how I look in chaps too. I have leather pants also and there nice to use when it,s cold but I feel like a bad version of Elvis in them, some thing about them also screams DISCO MUSIC.
If I was to walk around in a mall with chaps on folks would think, look a biker, but walk around in leather pants and they would think HOMO.

Did your wife buy you the leather undies as well to go with the chaps?

Why yes she did and then she modeled her own leather thongs on that tiny butt of hers.Something you,ll never see, a tiny butt that is.

Where did you get the step-by-step photos of the yardsale? Ouch.....you KNOW that had to hurt.
(Bet the guy wishes he was wearing leather jacket AND chaps after going down that way...and by god he's in fingerless gloves too! ..."what NOT to wear when testing the outer ragged edges of your bike's performance envelope...")
The last photo says it all...

I just picked up a set of medium/heavy weight leather chaps on craigslist for $50 and they're fantastic. They definitely keep the wind off my legs, which is why I bought them. As long as the wind doesn't cut through I have not problem keeping warm. I didn't really expect much protection. Unless the gear has armor in it how much can you really expect?
