I will admit that my head was somewhere else when he was talking to me but I don't remember if he said anything. In the back of my manual, the first entry is 500 then 2500. Because of the money that I have invested, I plan on going by the book and starting out with the 500. There is a separate entry for Springers as opposed to other Softail models.

JB, I got a little more curious and read in my manual in a different area and it said that after 1000 miles that I should take it to my dealer for a checkup. I guess that I will have to give them a call and see what they want for sure. I guess that maybe I shouldn't read so much. I get different ideas the more that I read.

When I picked up mine they said 1000 mi., then after getting it home and going through the book and seeing the 500mi. note I went up the next weekend and asked about it. They said that yes they would like to see it after 500 becouse of all the extra stuff going on with the springer front end being the reason also they were realy sorry about the mistake it is just that with everything else being at 1000mi. that he just sliped up. Well have a good one.

It's interesting Heather about the weather thing. Last week Mother Nature and I had a deal. I would ride in the morning and she would rain in the afternoon. I guess that she has gone back to having a sense of humor because she has decided to rain on my parade all weekend, and I mean RAIN. I'll fool her, someday I will sneek out and get a ride in before she knows what happened. hehe
