Default How do you tell your friends NO!

Now that I'm back in the saddle after a 25 yr absence I have 2 friends who have said "I cant wait to come over so I can take it for a ride...don't worry I have my full bike license" How do you tell them to go **** up a rope

Tell 'em "I don't loan out my bike". For me, that's a fact.

If they are good friends they should understand how you feel about the situation. On the other hand, I always thought we abide by a code of sorts that you never ask to ride another man/woman's hog unless invited, JS.
I'd feel pretty bad if (license or no license) I wiped out my buddy's brand new Harley.

Just tell them that your insurance won't cover anyone but you driving your bike.

Sorry, my insurance policy doesn't allow other drives. However we can go to the dealer tomorrow and they will let you test ride one just like it. Or, you can go with the honest approach. "No, you can't ride it, sorry." If they get offended about it they aren't that good of friends. A good friend wouldn't ask.

Just tell them, "no."
You don't need to make them wrong about it; just tell them you'd rather not. If they ask you why, just repeat you answer.
And if you feel bad about it after all is said and done, go for a ride. What better way to change your attitude, uh?

I have no problem telling friends they cannot ride my bike. Generally I approach it like this. They say "hey dude, can I ride your bike?". And I say "No way in hell you are ever riding my bike". It seems to work pretty well, they do not even cry or anything

JUST SAY NO!!!!!!! If you wanna be stingy wif your toys, then man up and say no. I on the other hand have a couple of friends that if they asked they could ride my bike, cause I know that if anything happened to it they would take care of it, but I have some more friends that I would not loan anything, cause I know how they are.
