Man, winter is for real for you guys up there.

Down here in Bozeman, it gets wintry, but we don't get the wind like you. We're sheltered in a valley. Now Livingston, the next town east, gets winds that blow over the semis on I-90.

I've been through your part of the state on the way to AB. Lots of nice wide open riding up there.

How's the weather up there now? It's rainy and high 30°s here--"normal" autumn, if that's possible in Montana

Same. Rainy and miserable right now. I'm sure it will turn to snow later. You aren't kidding about the wind, I can handle cold but the wind is what makes it unbearable.
I was down your way a while back, got a bro down there who rides. We went down to Yellowstone but made the mistake of going on the free admission weekend when Obama was there. Wall to wall people.

Oh, yeah....I saw Air Force One when Obama was here. Closed down half the airport.

The fishing guide he went fishing with is a friend of a colleague and said he was better than the average fly fishing newb. There were rumors that he went fishing on Turner's ranch the day before he *officially* arrived. Dunno about that, tho...

But, yeah.....the traffic around Yellowstone was insane that weekend. You're brave!
