I got the 06 RK standard also, I love this bike. It looks and rides awesome. I would have got the ROAD GLIDE, but wife said it looked like a fat crotch rocket ( can't get the image out of my mind) either way you can't go wrong

Don't get me wrong... There is not another Harley Purchase in my near future...
After going to Bass Pro I think I see a Nitro Bass boat though... =)
The Street Glide just really surprised me for some reason. Not sure why.
But then again.... with all the rain we have had here I was starting to miss my saddle in general. Felt AWESOME to ride to work today.

I wanted a touring bike or dyna but was afraid of the vibration on my back....Love the suspention. I wanted a Road Glide or Road King though almost purchased an electra glide so Hubby and I could ride 2 up in style.
I they ever put a smoother idling engine in ...I'll be standing out side the doors waiting to buy!

I am not knocking either a RK or SG but I went to the local dealer with money in hand to buy a RK Classic. I left on a RoadGlide. I know it's not the sexiest thing out there but I love it. I think I made the right choice. Bottom line here is get what feels best to you. If they all felt the same Harley would only make one model. Just my thoughts.

Yeah I know...it's gotten better, but while I can stand the bumping that vibration gets me everytime. Hubby was overly concerned about it cause he's seen me ride on a boat near the engine and not be able to move after.
Now if I never had to stop......life would be woooonnnnderful.

went_postal, a bit off topic but if you enjoyed the Bass Pro Shop, there is a new Gander Mountain store in Mooresville, exit 36 off interstate 77. One main difference between the two stores is at GM, the rifles / shotguns are out from behind the counter where you can fondle them.

Didn't Gander Mountain just get bought out by Dick's? Or was that someoene else?
Bass Pro is actually a lot of fun... If they ever build a Cabellas here I am screwed.
