Who knows what 1984 SHOVELHEAD model had both 5 speed tranny and a rear belt drive.

If I had to guess it could be a very early FXRT before they switched to the EVO.

Someone PLEASE jump me chit IF I iz Ms.Taykn, TMK, the 84 FXRS and FXRT, were chain drive, weren't they???? They were BOTH shovel n evil, but thought they were chained.

Either way, the "T" had that fugly Jap lookin' fairy, on it. Which, shoot me, I know, is the ONLY reason I do not care for the Road Glides. Sorry, it's JUS' ME. They remind me, of the Vetter fairings of the early 70's, GAG ME.

My '84 FLH Electraglide was a Shovel and had a final belt drive, but a 4 speed. It wasn't the "final" Special Edition, but I still have the handlebar tag: $8,299 brand new. Wish I still had the bike, but I sold it for $10K at the height of the Harley craze.

+1 the evo on FXR was 85 with Evo upper end,.. and shovel cases (if my memory is still intact on this) 86 with full evo motor and belt drive (clutch cable arm attachment at the transmission still like the shovels). ya'll is making my brain hurt trying to remember back that far.

How do you put an EVO top end on Shovel cases? The only way I can think of doing it involves using a heliarc
