My momment has got to be when we went out west on a family trip, grandparents and all. I was about 5 years old...my parents had forgotten all about sturgis... and it just so happened that we hit it right smack dab in the middle of bike week. Its all we saw the whole trip! I remember how i loved hearing the roar!

When I was 7 or 8 my uncle up in the White Mtn's had a little Honda 50 that me and my cousins would cruise around his place in Franconia on. I used to dream about driving back up there every summer to ride that thing.
Grew a bit older and never forgot that feeling. Worked my *** off from 14 to 17 to buy my first dirt bike and rode every day I could up along the power lines in CT.
Rode my first street bike at 18 a friend was living with me had an 1986 Honda Interceptor 500, as soon as he moved out, I went out and bought a 1991 Yamaha FZR.
Many years later still riding sport bikes, I met the current wife, who I took on a ride (98 ZX9R) and while she loved the feel of riding, she didn't like the seating options on the sport bike so she took it upon herself to get her license, and bought a Virago 750. I would occasionally drive that bike and finally decided to get a cruiser. As much as I told myself in my younger sport-bike influenced days I would "never own a HD" I'd have been dumb to rule them out. I walked into my first HD stealership and there was a 2005 Screamin Eagle VRod on display about 3 feet off the floor and I was sold.
Great bike, just not the best for a lot of 2 up riding when the wife decided she'd rather let me drive and just take in the scenery. Traded in the VRod for a FLHX and couldn't imagine being a better way to spend the day.

When I was about 12, my cousin came down to visit. He pulled up on his Fat Boy and offered to take me for a ride, just up and down the street. But my worry wort of a Mom wouldn't let me. Ever since, I was determined to ride one my own. Now I do. Sorry, Mom!
