Default Road Glide windshield

Just purchased an 08 Road Glide, wondering which windshields provide the best protection.

I am satisfied with my Cee Bailey SSC but the Clearviews also get rave reviews. The Clearview is what I was planning on but Cee Bailey had a sale and I tried it. No desire to change at this time.

Need to consider height and riding position. I've got a Clearview +2 windshield and I'm very happy with it, but I'm 6'6" and ride upright. If you're shorter (likely) and/or ride in a more forward position, you'll need less in front to deflect wind. In my case, this et-up put the wind just over my head. I do find even with good top deflection, there is considerable wind come-up from below the fairing. Like with most things, there will be LOTS of opinions and solutions that work for forum members. Use your hand while riding to sense where wind is coming from and consider solutions based on your personal observations. Other popular choices are Klockwerks and Long Ride Shields. These 3 all have one common design feature - a flip at the top which throws wind upward & away (something the OEM shield lacks).

I just bought Klockwerks new 16" unit...not perfect but better than stock. Pretty pricey at $300 but I was able to find a new one on eBay for $250. Click the thumbnail to see a pic of my bike with the shield.

That is very similar to my Cee Bailey except it looks like it might be standing up a little straighter.

I have not had any problems with my CB, it is a 16" and I am 5'7". I can see about 2-3" over the top of the shield.

+1 on the clearview. I got a screaming deal on a blem shield off their site, can't even see the blem.

Stock windshield sux, too low and directs all wind right in your face. the clearview is really good.
