My oldest son was over there in 90 and 91, but he in charge of cleaning and shooting a 155 howitzer at them..never asked him about getting a shirt...

 

Lived in Abu Dhabi for about 9 years. Have a decent dealership there. Funny thing is the T shirts are made in the USA, whereas a lot of the ones i see here are not made here.

UAE has a decent size HOG group too. Wouldn't catch me on a bike there, though. Tough enough staying alive in a car.

 

I see a lot of the Qatar, etc. Harley shirts on contractors (we aren't allowed to wear civilian clothes) but haven't gotten a chance to get one from a country outside Afghanistan - my trips to Qatar and Kuwait didn't leave much time for shopping. No Harley dealers in Afghanistan (the President probably couldn't afford one). But we do have sewing shops that can make anything, by hand, to order. I now have Harley patches with my wife's name in place of Motor/Company on the Bar and Shield logo - with the Afghan service ribbon and US Army on the bar and shield in palce of the words, etc. - Harley stuff is very popular and there is no regard at all for copyright/patent/etc. - the Afghans will copy anything from your Oakley glasses to an AK-47, no problem. I also heard that the German PX at the camp across the street from me has Harley shirts - unfortunately it takes a convoy and a colonel's signature for us to cross the street.
