Weight of Chaps
#11
You really should look at leather overpants instead of chaps. They protect alot more and come off just as easy as chaps. Let my dad borrow mine on his trip last week and now he is looking for some. Fox creek looks really nice. I want to try leatherup but afraid of the quality i would get for the price.

leather up easy fit, if you legs like tree trunks like I do, you'll love them! Weight was never really a concern for me since I live in Tx and dont need them to often, it was more about the fit around my legs.

I've bought a lot of stuff from these guys, www.hudsonleather.com .
Now I have a leather shop just down the road. Like someone else said, this is a good option if you can find one near you. They make them to fit, your choices of leather, lining, etc. and range from around $100 for pretty basic to about $150 for lined w/pockets, braiding, whatever.
