Laid her down yesterday

Well I got a message from the insurance adjuster today. Missed his call because I was back in another ER, this time for CT-Scan. Pain had gotten so severe after coughing that I thought that I was having a heart attack. Went to an Urgent Care facility. The PA there took another X-Ray and thought that he saw fluid building up on my lung so he sent me on to the ER. They did a CT-Scan and determined no fluid on the lungs, but bruising from the initial accident, and two other ribs that had hairline fractures. Ribs four, five, and six were broken, as I already knew, but three and seven both have hairline fractures as well. Amazing what they can see from a CT-Scan opposed to an old X-Ray.
A new prescription for Percocets, and they kicked me out of the ER to go rest.
Listened to the message form the insurance guy. Turns out they are not totalling the bike. The frame and motor are good. Seat, Saddlebags, Tourpak and fairing were all total losses. Several chrome pieces will have to be replaced, as well as my rainsuit, helmet, gloves, and leather jacket will be as well. $250 deductible and about 8-12 weeks later and it should be as good as new. So much for the new Ultra for a little while at least.
