Back in the 70's I rode most of the time with no lights in the day. As I got older I started riding with my lights on. Now, I have more lights than ever, but it is still more dangerous today than it was then. One thing for sure, no matter what you do, someone won't see you or they will do something stupid. Everything you can do to make you more visible is good, but there is no substitute for good, defensive riding.

I got to agree with everyone who said about no matter how visible you make yourself some one will pull out in front of you..I drive a big truck for a living and as you can imagine something that's bigger than your average garage should be easy to see but no, they still pull out with cellphone firmly clamped to ear or they wait till the last minute when you are approaching ..then pull out when your stopping distance is dangerously short.
The long a the short of it is as one contributor said, just expect everyone is going to pull out on you and you won't go far wrong.

Had a guy get killed when he pulled out in front of a house being moved here about 15 years ago. I'm talking about a seriously large real house(not mobile home) taking up the whole road and part of the shoulders moving very slow with police escorts. How could you not see that????

"(Now if only we could also run blue strobes on our bike during the day, ...I'm SURE they would make us MUCH more visible to more drivers out there!)"

I am sure a few LEOs would say that it doesn't help

I've got the Kissan headlight modulator https://www.kisantech.com/index.php?cat_id=2
I have had several people start to pull out and stop. I guess it works good but it may be like those deer whistles, you assume they work until they don't.

Also several people posted about lane position. I notice that there are places in the lane where you may not be seen very easily. But like many have already said, "you can't fix stupid". T.

+2 on Motolights. Expensive yes but they make you stand out. I had a neighbor come over and tell me, "Those things are bright during the day".

If you're not running hard lowers.... get the HD-fog light kit... $130 or there abouts, 15-30 minutes to install. just don't read the part where the box say NOT for use on FLTR

+3 on Motolights. They look great.

I went with the 55-watt HD foglights, but the Motolights would have done as well. They were, however, more expensive.

Not near as much as you would think. By the way, Red shows up better in the daylight, blue at night, and amber is better than both of them. FYI

RE: the Rivco air horns. Anybody know where you would put the compressor on a 08 Ultra w/abs????
