I agree that a used bike is the way to go. I bought a (very low mileage) 07 Dyna a few days ago and I considered it a steal! I even got a 1 year warranty. You just have to be patient and be willing to travel for the best deals. I would have liked to support my local dealership but the owner was marking up his prices well above the MSRP. Even when I called him on it and showed him the advertise price of a dealer just 50 miles away. He refused to match it! So I got the best deal I could (almost 300 miles away)!

End of the quarter is good advice. Check the classifieds here on the Forum. There are a lot of great looking bikes on there as well.

+1 I completed the transaction 3 days later. I would look at Dec-Feb. March starts spring purchases.

+1......and the used bike market will get you a quality motorcycle at a very good price!

Best time to buy a harley......when you find the one you want and nothing's going to stop you from getting it......as others have said, depends on your location, climate and dealer competition, mixed with new model year release, and you might be able to get under MSRP!

My best time was when we walked into the dealer not intending to buy. I got the wife at a weak moment and it all worked out.
As far as best price?
Probably November thru February.
Thats just me. I know I can get good deals on service work around then.

Best time to buy a new Harley is when you have cash on hand.
