Default Why Not a 110 in all Big Twins?

Outside of protecting dealer revenue from big bore kits, is there any reason why the MoCo doesn't use the Twin Cam 110 in all big twin models? Why limit the 110 to CVO bikes?

The 2010 CVO Softail Springer produces 110 pounds-feet of torque. The 2010 Victorys produce 109 pounds-feet of torque for $10,000 less.

Harley has strong brand loyalty. On the other hand, more and more of the faithful are beginning to take notice of Victory and Indian. At a time when sales are down and competition is growing, it seems like now would be a good time to roll out the 110 across the board. What do y'all think.

They are having all kinds of heat, gasket and leakage problems with the 110. Good enough reason for me.

The CVO wouldn't be worth the extra $$$$$ if the 110" were on all of them. I'm pretty happy with my 96". Plenty fast and powerful enough for me.

Warranty claims would bankrupt the MoCo.

Yep, warranty claims. I saw on Chigago HD's website special for 110" conversion(good price by the way), they also added the timken bearing and flywheel strengthening which i assume means welding. Guess they don't want any of thier work coming back on them. First thing that would happen is everyone would start messing with them and the lower ends would fail.

+1. I don't know if the 09-10's still have that problem, read the 07's did.

My stock 96" with FuelMoto Package (PCV, 2" Rush Slash Down Mufflers and Chrome backing plate w/K&N Air Filter) did me tons of wonders.

Power's good,

Hey Deaf, I got a question for you. If a sportster with a 240 tire is mild custom, what would you call heavy custom? Gimme pics!
