PISSED OFF about dirt in my throttle body
I have the SE air breather and when my wrench took off
my filter he found what he called dirt, it felt more like dust
mixed with oil that formed what felt like grease with a very
fine grit in my throttle body how did the dust or dirt get through
the air filter or under the rubber seal that is part of the filter
Should I have been oiling the SE filter like a K&N filters
Should I chunk the SE for the K&N filter? What are Your
thoughts on this????

The reason I switched my paper, SE, air filter, element to a K&N element was because of the numerous posts and pictures of the cheap SE paper element deteriorating.

I just changed my stock air filter after 20K. The TB was totally clean. Ya must have a bad SE air filter.

Most of the oil is from the beather system and is normal. The grit is the fiberglass parts of the element mixed with the oil. this is normal. Upgrade to a K&N in the same housing. Parts Unlimited carries them, around $45.00.

Another possibility could be the engine blow by (crankcase ventilation) that is directed back into the intake and not through the filter.
On the stock filter there are two hoses that direct this back into the intake system. See first pic.
The second pic shows the bolts & hoses removed. The bolt holes are actually the passage for the blow by.
The third pic is a Big Sucker installed. It directs the flow through the bolts and into the intake. I think blow by is still not filtered.
The fourth pic is what the gunk looks like.
When I swaped out my stock filter @ 500 miles there already was the same gunk in my intake. I haven't pulled it back off yet to see how much has collected since I installed the Big Sucker/K&N.

If you want a little more performance go with the K and N. If you want a little more filtration, OEM.
