Default ca riding laws...

Looking for specifics for clothing requirements for CA riding. I know they have a helmet law. Do I have to have long pants, full sleeves, gloves, etc? Doubt I'd go without any of that stuff but want to know what the law is.

Checked the motorcycle handbook for the state but doesn't clarify what "minimum" gear is required.

Thanks.

I don't think any state specifies what gear is required besides the helmet...

Just helmet. Well, and some form of clothing. No riding naked.

Yeah what he said plus a bag over your head if you're really ugly!

Now where did I leave my bag?

Don't forget eye protection. Not sure about CA, but in Illinois eye protection is mandatory. Strangely, a windshield counts as eye protection, and most folks have sunglasses at minimum anyway. I'd hazard a guess that if Illinois mandates eye protection, California has to (Illinois has no helmet law whatsoever).

The California motorcycle handbook specifically states that you must wear a G-String while riding a motorcycle. However, let me check my handbook......It um, er, uh, actually it says all female passengers must wear a G-String while riding on a motorcycle. Does anyone know a person who would like to buy some G-Strings for real cheap?

Helmet is required out here. As for other gear, common sense comes to mind
