New helmet or no helmet argument

Now that there has been reinforcement for riding with a helmet....suggest you go all the way and ride with a full face. Several of the injures included eye sockets, teeth jaw facial bones for helmeted riders. Most of this goes away with a non cool looking but practical full face.
35% of all impact to the head is in the Jaw, mouth area. for me I chose to protect as much as possible... but
To each his own.

How did I ever survive my childhood without a bicycle helmet? Seriously though, this is a choice you have to make and hopefully will have some choice in the future. I feel comfortable with a half helmet, but some want to dictate that you wear a full face helmet. Where does it stop. H@ll, NASCAR requires a full face helmet in a cager.

Another silly post to start another stupid helmet thread.
Have you ever noticed that they are always started by born again evangelical helmet wearers stating how helmets save lives and trying to convert the heathens to helmets?
Have you ever wondered why riders that don't wear helmets don't start threads stating that riding a motorcycle is sooo much more enjoyable when not wearing a helmet and that is why they don't yet they never try to convince others to go helmetless?
I just took a 2500 mile ride over six days and never once put a helmet on my head. I did not wear a helmet on that trip for the very same reason that I did not take the trip in my car. Can you understand that?
Ride free, ride hard, ride safe.

Will Just say I like Freedom of choice when comes to Helmets and live in a state that has it .. Sometimes I enjoy exercising Freedom of Choice with No Lid and the Ride is far more enjoyable than Cruising down the Road looking like the Great Gazoo Bubble Top..

[QUOTE=rc9636;5629483]Well here's a new arguement for not wearing a helmet...LOL. On 7/17/09 I had an encounter with a deer. I had no helmet on and suffered head trama.
What time of day was it when you were riding? Just curious as the majority of the time deer only come out at night, once in a while in the day light but mostly at dusk and early morning. I prefer to not ride in the dark, one because I don't see that well in the dark anymore, and two deer come out at night and move.
