Head Trip or HD Carbon fiber Helmets

All I am saying is that if ACC "Headtrip" wants to be totally honest in their advertising of a $175 dollar helmet, then lets see some straight on pics of the DOT helmets on a fat guy. Believe me, there is a reason that they do not do this.

I have3 helmets I wear. 2 ACC's amnd a Modular H-D. The DOT version for test rides at work and for any ventures into WA or CA. I have the non-DOT ACC polo that I wear 99% of the time I'm riding. Would recommend them both. The modular H-D is for bad weather.

Any DOT half helmet will give you some shroom. It's a matter of how much. If you want something that sits flat to your head, then wear a novelty and if that don't do it, wear a doorag, if that don't do it, shave your head and wear nothing. The ACC DOT half has MINIMUM shroomage. And I have tried on many.

I have collected an worn several helmets over the years. I used to wear nothing but full faced, then started riding with a windshield and started trying lighter helmets.
My hed trip is the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn while I am sitting still or drving slow. My problem with it and any other helmet that is not a full face is that at highway speeds, the wind pulls the helmet back and causes neck strain. I have gotten very lazy about wearing my helmet in non-helmet states because of this. One of the reasons I bought the ACC in the first place was to get comfortable enough to WANT to wear it even when the law didn't require me to.
I am the only one? Is there something about fitment that I haven't figured out yet that some of you can teach me?

Love the headtrip. I don't remember my size but it fits with the thinnest of the 3 pads they send. It really is as comfortable as a hat. I have had lots of half helmets and could not wear any of them without the windshield on the bike. My neck hurt so bad I just took them off after a few mile even after promising my wife I would wear it. No problem now. This summer I stopped along the road for lunch and had nearly finished the sandwich I brought before realizing I was still wearing it.

XL size head. Called ACC this morning about their DOT helmet. The XL goes up to 24.5 inch. When I tried one on recently it was very tight mainly on the sides. Was told that they can reshape to allow for better fit if there is room. Anyone with big head like mine (24 inch's) have any experience with fitment? Oh by the way, thats shaved head size in case someone was going to suggest shaving my head.
(Very helpful company and yes discount if you mention this forum)

I've got an ACC that I'm trying to get used to. It fits on my head okay, but the straps are very annoying to me and when I wore it on the highway, it would NOT stay down on my head for anything. I have the one without the visor. My thinking was wind would get under the visor and lift the helmet. Maybe the opposite is true and the visor will create some downforce.
Either way, I'm not having much luck with it at any speed above 40 mph.
